Founded by dedicated coaches and parents, Darkhorse Grapplers serves boy and girl wrestlers of all levels. The program blends proven technique, positive coaching, and a growth mindset to help
athletes on and off the mat.

We focus on fundamentals, drilling, and live wrestling in a safe, structured environment. Sessions include stance and motion, takedowns, defense, top and bottom work, and mental preparation for competition. We are located in Garden Valley (Crouch) and serve the youth of Boise County, Idaho.
• Little Grapplers (K-3rd Grade): $180 Winter Session Jan - Mar
This group focuses solely on learning and gaining an athletic foundation. We don't emphasize competing at tournaments in this age group. 2 times a week Tues and Thurs 4:00pm-5:00pm
• Youth & Middle School (4th-8th Grade): $180 Winter Session Jan - Mar
This group focuses on competition, improving wrestling skills, repetitions, higher intensity, developing toughness, and having fun while doing hard things. .3-5 times a week Monday-Thursday 5:00pm - 6:30pm
• Schedule: A tournament schedule will be posted in the wrestling room and sent out via the Band app, and emailed once the schedule is finalized. Athletes are not required to compete at every tournament, but are encouraged to compete throughout the club season.
• Saturdays: Tournaments are typically on Saturdays with the occasional Friday night. Different age groups will start at different times.
• Transportation: Parents are responsible for getting their athletes to and from the tournaments.
• USA Wrestling Athlete Membership: Most of the tournaments during this youth season will be sanctioned by USA wrestling. In order to compete at an USA Wrestling tournament you’ll need to purchase a USA Athlete Membership for insurance purposes and to register for tournaments: https://www.usawmembership.com/
• Trackwrestling & Entry Fees: Parents are responsible for registering their athletes for each tournament. This is usually done through https://www.trackwrestling.com/ where you’ll register for the event and pay the tournament entry fee. The link will be sent out when registration links when they go live and registration is open.
Shoes, Team Gear & Competition Uniforms
• Shoes: You’re encouraged to purchase a pair of wrestling shoes. No other shoes are allowed on the wrestling mats. If you cannot purchase a pair, kids are okay to practice in their socks. If you plan on competing at tournaments, then having your own pair of wrestling shoes is highly recommended.
• Team Gear: Athletes will have the option to purchase a club wrestling t-shirt and additional team gear when the store link is provided
• Competition Uniforms: We will offer a singlet, fight shorts and a rashguard bundle for our team competition uniforms. This will be available through our team gear store when it is open. This is optional and not requited in order to compete. Athletes can compete in shorts and a t-shirt if they do not want to purchase our competition uniform.
• Practice Clothes: Athletes should wear clean shorts or sweats and a t-shirt to practice.
